  2. Freedom of speech, or of the press, of the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government. Amendment 1

  3. A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State • The right of the people to keep and bear arms Amendment 2

  4. No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war. Amendment 3

  5. The right of the people to be secure against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall be issued without probable cause. • Probable cause must be supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the people or things to be seized. • Miranda Rights Amendment 4

  6. Double Jeopardy – being convicted of the same crime twice. Amendment 5

  7. Guarantees the right to a speedy trial by an impartial jury. Amendment 6

  8. In suits ofcommon law, where the value of controversy shall exceed over $20, the right to trial by jury shall be preserved. Amendment 7

  9. Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed • No cruel or unusual punishments inflicted Amendment 8

  10. You cannot be denied your rights Amendment 9

  11. Gives power to the states in areas not covered by the Constitution Amendment 10

  12. Abolished slavery Amendment 13

  13. Forbids states to deprive any person of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. Amendment 14
