  4. Inserting Tapes • Insert a blank tape . . . “carefully” . . .

  6. Plugging in Microphones • Think carefully about plugging in mics.

  7. Meet the Accessories • Wireless Microphones • Transmitter • Microphone • Splitter

  8. Meet the Accessories • Shotgun Microphone • Mini-DV Tapes • Batteries (for camera / mics.) • 9 volt for wireless mics. • 303 (watch battery) for shotgun mics. • Rechargeable for camera

Things to Remember • Always do a “sound check” • Audio levels on • Mic. plugged in • Mic. turned on • Mic. battery is working / new • Turn switch to “Camera” mode (not VCR) • Check battery / plug in camera • Make sure to frame your shot • When in doubt, pull-back to capture everything • Capture the tutor, student, and student work
