  2. Crash Coogan is the football sensation and everyone knows it.

  3. Crash’s neighbor is a vegetarian and a Quaker. He is also Crash and Crash’s best friend, Mike’s easiest target.

  4. Crash’s grandfather, Scooter, moved in.

  5. A new girl shows up one day, Jane Forbes, and Crash likes her, but she’s friends with Penn. Because Penn and Jane are both on the cheerleading squad.

  6. Scooter has a stroke.

  7. Crash and Penn both make the track team. Penn won the race-offs. The person that won got to compete in the Penn Relays.

  8. Penn got 2nd in the Penn Relays.

  9. Now Penn is Crash’s best friend and Jane and Crash are friends.
