DELTACOMMISSIE (‘VEERMAN’) • achterstand in veiligheid en achterhaalde normen • zeespiegel stijgt sneller dan verwacht • rivieren: in de zomer minder afvoer en in de winter meer afvoer • stijgende zeespiegel samen met afnemende afvoer leidt tot problemen met zoetwatervoorziening MAATREGELEN: • veiligheidsniveau factor 10 omhoog • buitendijks wonen: bewoners zijn verantwoordelijk Rijnmond-Drechtsteden: • afsluitbaar open • afvoer hoogwater via Zeeuwse Delta • aanvoer zoetwater via IJsselmeergebied

  4. Advies Deltacommissie: • De dreiging is niet acuut, maar de opgave voor waterveiligheid en zoetwatervoorziening is wel urgent! • Aanbevelingen: • Deltaprogramma • Deltawet, Deltafonds, Deltacommissaris
