Step 2: Bidders Conference • Organized as an informational meeting for those interested in applying for grants • Allows for an introduction to the NCMC’s goals and objectives • Allows for the introduction of the staff involved in the KAT\NCMC. • Donor representatives present • Overview of the RPF • Questions and answers for applicants • Send questions to info@katrinaaidtoday.org until November 9, 2005.

  5. Step 3: Proposal Submission • Due date is November 18, 2005 by 16:00 hrs EST. • Submit to RFP@katrinaaidtoday.org • Budgets must be submitted in Excel format • Please limit any “attachments”

Step 4: Proposal Review • Suggested members of the Grants Review Board • 4 NVOAD Members • 2 Independent NGO Representatives • 2 NCMC Staff • 1 Donor Representative • Evaluation Criteria • Project Approach\Implementation (30 points) • Technical Experience (35 points) • Organization Experience (15 points) • Cost Evaluation (20 points)

  7. Step 4 Continued • Grants Review Board Response; • Reject Proposals • Return proposals for clarification • Approve the proposal

  8. Step 5: Final Proposal Review • You may receive written notification from the Grants Review Board to provide clarification on technical or financial application. Estimated on November 28. • Final submission from the applicant on those clarification points is estimated on December 5

  9. Step 6: Applicant Notification • On or about December 9 all applicants will be receive written notification • Those that are accepted will receive a Pre-Award letter

  10. Step 7: Contract Negotiations • NCMC will negotiate contracts with each Consortium member
