  19. You are the public face of the Chapter! Greet visitors to PDM’s and other events (get their business cards if possible) Email them the next week thanking them for coming. Add them to any email meeting broadcast list you may use. Ask if they are interested in any particular topics, education, etc. Introduce them at the PDM as visitors and help them feel welcome. Membership

  20. Check your membership updates every month on a pre-set date (first Monday…) Send emails to new members welcoming them to the chapter. Include your chapters website and announcements of upcoming events. Add them to your chapter distribution email list. Membership Updates – New members

  21. Email them when the first notice to renew is sent Call if they show dropped and find out why they decided not to renew (company situation, job change, etc). Record these for the Board to Review. If a person has left the company, find out other contacts at that company would might wish to join. Remember: It takes less effort to keep the members you have than to recruit new ones! Membership Updates – Dropped
