  5. Oil in Northern Ireland Heating oil prices are quoted per litre of oil Normal quotes are 500 or 900 litres Prices quoted will include 5% VAT. The price of oil goes up and down throughout the year as it is directly linked to international wholesale prices of crude oil but note it is also affected by market forces including exchange rate movements.
