  2. Submitting Content to the Web • Establish an air card, Wi-Fi, or network connection • Double click on the “ibPublish shortcut on your desktop

  3. Submitting Content to the Web • Once you’re logged into ibPublish, click on the “create content” button at the top of the screen

  4. Submitting Content to the Web • A new page loads • The section where your story will appear • Story headline

  5. Submitting Content to the Web • From the “Section” drop-down menu select the type of story • You’ll usually select “News – Main” • It can easily be changed later

  6. Submitting Content to the Web • Type a headline capitalizing every word, i.e.: “Omaha Man Wins Nobel Prize” • Scroll to the button of the page and click

  7. Submitting Content to the Web • The page will reload and you will see new fields. Look for the “Story Properties” field.

Submitting Content to the Web • Once you have saved your story contact your web editor and let them know the story is ready to be published • Your web editor will review/edit your story as warranted • If you need changes made to your original story, contact your web editor • E-Mail changes for the quickest updates

  10. A Quick Reminder About VPN • You MUST have VPN access for ENPS from the field • You MUST have VPN connection to access network drives for graphics, etc. • Make sure you are out of VPN before attempting to stream video

  15. Today’s NGN Web Assignment • Log onto IB Publish • Write and submit a story • Call your web editor and let them know you story is ready to publish • E-mail changes to your story • Contact your web editor and let them know you’ve sent change.
