  2. Hurricanes Hurricanes are powerful storms. They happen a lot in August, September and October. The sky gets dark. There may be thunder and lighting too. Then comes the rain. Sometimes the wind can push the sea water TOO close to the shore. Some can pick up cars and houses. This very dangerous, people can lose there homes.

  3. tornadoes A funnel cloud becomes a tornado when it hits the ground. Tornadoes usually strike a few minutes after thunderstorm. Often hail has just fallen. But the worst is yet to come. The rubbing is starting to shake the ground. When it is over it mad a big mess in your town.

  4. Floods A flash flood is like a flood that happens in a flash. Flash floods can be very dangerous because the people and you do not know when they will happen. After the flood is done you have a LOT of work to do. It is like a city is sinking because water is fill up the city.

  5. ICE STORMS Ice storms can freeze anything they touch. They can freeze benches they can freeze cars they can freeze even homes. Even a thin layer of ice can make roads very slippery. They are very scary to some people. You need to stay in your house. When your town is thawed out you can go out an play in the snow.
