John F. Kennedy

John F. Kennedy, born in Brookline, Massachusetts in 1917, was the second of eight children in an Irish Catholic family. Despite suffering from various illnesses as a child, he went on to serve in the Navy and became a prominent political figure. He was elected to the U.S. Senate and served as President from 1961 until his assassination in 1963. Notable for his handling of the Bay of Pigs invasion and Cuban Missile Crisis, Kennedy's leadership reshaped U.S. domestic and foreign policy and paved the way for significant advancements including NASA's missions.
