  2. DIGHUMLAB Clarin.dk Both CLARIN centre and METASHARE at UCPH • Two different approaches: Both needed in DK currently • METASHARE –Danish view: • Focus on NLP developers and researchers • Displaying existing resources – EU and national • Metadata focus on contact data! • A resource might be downloadable – depending on licence, or available for a fee • CLARIN – Danish view: • Focus on researchers from Humanities • Services to work with resources • Metadata focusses on describing the resource • Resources are for research – to be shared

  3. DIGHUMLAB Clarin.dk Analysis of META-SHARE resources at metashare.cst.dk - 1 • Total: 57 resources • Language: • Danish 41, English 6, Swedish 4, + 10 otherlanguages • More thanonelanguage per ressource!! • Not simple to informuseraboutwhich type of multilinguality • Ressource type: • Tool service (27) • Corpus (16) • LexicalConceptual Ressource (lexicons and wordnets) (12) • Language Description (grammars) (2)

  4. DIGHUMLAB Clarin.dk Analysis of META-SHARE resources at metashare.cst.dk -2 • Availability: • Restricted Use (52) • Unrestricted Use (2) • Restrictions of Use: • Academic – Non Commercial Use (30) • Commercial Use (25) • Evaluation Use (1) • Redeposit (1) • Share Alike (1) • Licence type model:fee (18) • ask for quote (9) • free for moderate non-commercial use (5) • free for research (1) • free for non-commercial online use (1) • 10,000 EUR (server-installed system), for API-use ask for quote (1) • free web interface (1)

  5. DIGHUMLAB Clarin.dk Analysis of META-SHARE resources at metashare.cst.dk - 3 • Only 7 out of 57 resources: deposited data in META-SHARE • Links out of META-SHARE: • to resources and documentation placed at “open” urls • 6 have deposited data in clarin.dk • CLARIN-DK: A repository • -> we need the resource • -> it has to be open for research • -> for 44 resources we cannot include them in CLARIN-DK

  6. DIGHUMLAB Clarin.dk Analysis of META-SHARE resources at metashare.cst.dk - 4 • A long list of licence types: • A challenge to move resources with so different licence types into clarin.dk: 3 license type: pub/aca/restricted

  7. DIGHUMLAB Clarin.dk Summing up • CLARIN-DK: • A repository -> we need the resources, missing 44 • Licences -> will have to be handled… • We hope needs for both researcher and developer can be handled in future. • They have different needs and different user groups
