Key words: • ♥por lo general (generally) • ♥siempre (always) • ♥de vez en cuando (every once in a while) • ♥cada día (everyday) • ♥raras veces (rarely) • ♥algunas veces( sometimes) • ♥a menudo (often) • ♥Cada semana (everyweek) • ♥todos los días (everyday) • ♥a veces (sometimes) • ♥frecuentemente (frequently) • ♥mientras (while)

The imperfect is used: • To tell about habitual actions from the past, things you used to do • To tell about on-going actions in the past – was/were –ing • To tell about something that was happening for an extended, but non-specific amount of time • To give background information when telling a story

  4. . To form the imperfect, take off the ending (-ar, -er or –ir) and add: • -arverbs-er and –ir verbs • -aba -ábamos -ía -íamos • -abas-abais-ías -íais • -aba -aban-ía -ían

  5. There are only three irregular verbs in the imperfect!!! • Ir = to go ser = to bever= to see • Iba íbamos era éramosveíaveíamos • Ibas i bais eras eraisveíasveíais • Iba iban era eranveíaveían
