Numbers

Numbers. Factors of a number. Numbers. When we are finding the factors of a number we are looking for those numbers which when multiplied together make that number, e.g. the factors of 12 are: 1 x 12, 2 x 6, 3 x 4. = 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12. Numbers.

  1. Numbers Factors of a number

  2. Numbers When we are finding the factors of a number we are looking for those numbers which when multiplied together make that number, e.g. the factors of 12 are: 1 x 12, 2 x 6, 3 x 4. = 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12

  3. Numbers To work out the factors of a number without missing any it is a good idea to start with the number 1 and work your way up to half the original number.

  4. Numbers 1 2 3 4 5 6 8 12 24 What are the factors of 24?

  5. Numbers When we are asked for the common factors of two numbers (24 and 36 for example), we have to list all of the factors of both numbers and then identify those factors that appear in both lists. 24 = 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24, 36 = 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, 36,

  6. Numbers The common factors are: 24 = 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24, 36 = 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, 36,

  7. Numbers We are often asked for the Highest Common Factor (HCF) In this list it is 12 24 = 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24, 36 = 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, 36,
