High Level Goals • Long term goals • Implement an inquiry/research education culture within public schools system in Oman • Expand the Omani Science competition to represent all the schools in country • Short term goals • Start a new fair in Oman and affiliated with ISEF • Establish a Judging panel and a Scientific Review committee and train them on ISEF requirements/standards • Participate in ISEF 2013 with at least 3 students

Objectives • Ministry of Education to assign a project leader to implement a nation wide Science Fair • Create a team leader in each of the 11 educational regions to handle the project • Train at least 110 champion teachers on project based inquiry learning skills to be student mentors • Train at least 15 Judges on ISEF requirements • Build relationship between the MOE and the private sector to support the project. • Secure funding from the Ministry and private sector • Launch a campaign to market the project across the country

Intel ISEF Educator Academy Reflection - To be done… • Excellent organization of the educator academy • Sharing of experiences with other countries and transfer of knowledge • The Agenda and information provided was very beneficial and relevant • Most beneficial shop talks: • Flip-classroom • Pfet • Building a culture of Science and research • Suggest to translate the shop talk material after the event in other languages • Missing Shop Talks • Suggest to bring last year’s grand award winner to share his experience in a shop talk (from a student prospective)
