How do I get there? • From Bucharest to Constanţa by car: • 2:30 hours/ 3:00 hours depending on traffic • From Bucharest to Constanţa by Plane: • 20/35 minutes • ConstanţaAirport: MihailKogalniceanu International Airport (CND) • Bucharest to Constanţa by Train: • 2/4 hours • Constanţa Train Station: Constanţa

What’s to see in Constanţa and surrounding areas? • Romanian Navy Museum: • Founded in 1969 • Includes materials found on Naval ships, including anchors • Constanţa Casino • Opened in 1910 • Legend goes that when patrons of the casino would have bad luck they would throw themselves off into the sea. • Was used as a hospital during WWII • Genoese Light House • Built in 1816 • Located on the Cliff of Constanta • It is 8 feet tall with a metal dome on the top. • Archeology Museum • Founded in 1977 • More than 430,000 objects in 24 rooms • Artifacts from the Roman town of Tomis, is now Constanţa • Includes mosaic that was town square of Tomis What else to see??? The sea, of course!

  6. What should I pack? • Climate is warm in the summer, cold in the winter • Similar to Bucharest • Going in the summer? • Bring a swimsuit • Shorts and t-shirts • Flip-flops • Going in the winter? • Don’t expect to swim! It is cold! • Bring coats and boots • Scarves and gloves and hats
