  3. Responsibilities P1J Navigation Data Subpanel Responsibility for definition of recommendations for standards applicable to the exchange of navigation data. TSG MEETING/P1J

  4. Accomplishments P1J Activities • Conducted a P1J workshop October 17-20, Vilspa, Spain. (CCSDS Fall series). • At workshop, completed another review of P1J green book, for navigation definitions and conventions. Projected completion December 2000. • Response to CCSDS Proximity-1 Space Link Protocol, Red Book, will be provided through a red book generated by the P1J navigation subpanel. • Distributed minutes of P1J workshop to membership. • Presented P1J report to NTAG Meeting, November 14, at GSFC; and TSG meeting, November 28, at the University of Colorado. • First draft of Red Book for Orbit Data Messages issued November 20. TSG MEETING/P1J

  5. P1J Future work • New P1J CCSDS red books on recommendations for orbit, tracking, attitude, proximity operations, environmental models and astrodynamic constants will be developed. • IACG has increased the scope of Working Group 4 (Tracking, Commanding and Data Acquisition) to investigate the current and future status and proposed demand for deep space tracking facilities. P1J will contribute recommendations. • Next P1J workshop, Spring 2001, at ESA/ESOC. TSG MEETING/P1J
