Overview of the ASO Address Council's Activities and Roles in ICANN Reforms

The ASO Address Council (AC) convened in February 2003 during APNIC 15 in Taipei, with representatives from various regions including Asia/Australia/Pacific, North America, and Africa. The AC plays a vital role in the ICANN structure, representing elected members from each RIR region. During the Amsterdam RIPE 44 meeting in 2003, discussions focused on ongoing ICANN reforms, the establishment of AFRINIC, and processes for Board selection. The AC fosters participation from all interested parties, ensuring broader engagement in the governance of internet resources.
