Information gap • “Houston is expected to add more than 100,000 middle-skill jobs by 2017, with 40% paying $20 per hour or more…” – USA TODAY • “Joseph Poole will make more than $100,000 in wages and overtime by the end of the year… Poole landed it with a two-year course at a local community college.” – USA TODAY • There is a bias against these jobs because people don’t know… and their parents don’t know.
