How were the 1920s roaring when you compare them today? Let’s take a look at 9 different aspects of the 20s and see how they were roaring. Crazy Times Mrs. Lee January 2005

The Task Introduction | Task | Process | Evaluation | Conclusion | Standards | Resources |Teacher Notes • This project will be completed with a partner. • Each group will need to pick a topic that you will investigate. • Together you will create and present a PowerPoint presentation. • Each person will need to write a reflection paper describing what you have learned during this process. Your choices are: theater, art, music, fashion, sports, prohibition, KKK, architecture, and fads. • Create a 7-15 slide PowerPoint dealing with the topic. Do not have a page saying the end as one of the seven. No more than 5 bullets per page. • You will present to the class. Your presentation is to be 5 minutes and you are to speak to your audience. • By Tuesday the 11th you must turn in 3-5 good questions that your classmates will answer during your presentation. Your project is due Tuesday the 11th by the end of the hour and we • will begin presenting the following day. • Type a reflection paper which tells me what you learned without • restarting your Powerpoint. You should understand that just something happened in the United States it might not have affected the whole country in the same way. • This WebQuest should also have shown you where you can find information if you want to do further research. • Each of you should have learned about the fun and turmoil occurring in the United States during this time just prior to the Great Depression. Our school is on a traditional 6 classes per day. • You will need to decide what topics you will allow them to research within the area of the 1920s. • For the reflection paper IBC will be discussed in class which stands for introduction, body, and conclusion. • It is expected that students have prior knowledge on creating PowerPoint presentations. If needed handouts can be obtained from the technical assistant. • Students will also need to know what the purpose of the webquest is and how to use it. Crazy Times Mrs. Lee January 2005
