  17. ENGAGEMENT National Board is contemplating having mandatory EP seats on the Board. Bylaw changes will be voted on at the 2014 convention. Encouraging mentorship and the transition of knowledge from senior architects to young professionals. COMMUNICATION Share knowledge and successes among the local chapters. Benefit from best practices that are currently successful. AIA San Francisco’s ARE Pact AIA Kentucky’s Design Slam ADVOCACY The AIA has urged Congress to pass the National Design Services Act, which will give architecture students relief from student loan debt in return for pro bono community service. 179D extension passed AIA Repositioning Goals
