2. Research • Mars Advert – In the Mars advert, the whole concept is that Mars gives you energy. The advert shows some bell-ringers jumping up and down after eating Mars bars. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3l832ZdeFI • Drink Drive Advert – There is a man behind a bar, asking what drink the person approaching him wants. You don’t see who he is talking to for most of the advert, and the way he stares into the camera through the advert makes it as if he is asking whoever is watching the advert. The advert shifts with the man changing his voice into that of a policeman, a boss at work and a unhappy wife – all illustrating what would happen if you were caught drinking and driving. The advert ends with the man back at the bar saying “so what will it be?”

3. Idea • My idea is a pen that can also be used as a recording device. The pen will be a refillable biro pen that you click to turn on the recording device, which will be at the top of the pen. • This product will be used as journalists cannot rely on digital products because the battery might die, and so they need a good old pen and paper to write down the information. There’s always the need for a pen!

5. RecordoPen!! • How it works: • An ordinary pen, but when you click it down then it records anything it hears. It saves the audio onto a little SD card device that you can take out when you unscrew the pen (above where the ink goes). • Here’s the special part: when you write, the pen charges up the battery, as it sends an electric current into the battery that charges it up.
