Operation: Military Kids (OMK), administered through Ohio 4-H and Ohio State University Extension, provides crucial support to military youths from National Guard and Reserve families. By partnering with the Ohio National Guard Family Readiness & Warrior Support Program, OMK aims to raise community awareness of the impacts of deployment on military youth, build support networks, and offer educational programs and resources. Who Are We? • OMK is administered through the Ohio 4-H Program, part of Ohio State University Extension. • OMK partners closely with the Ohio National Guard Family Readiness & Warrior Support Program.
Partnership of two federal agencies (USDA & DoD) makes effective use of resources. Youth from National Guard and Reserve families live in all of our communities. Providing support for military youth is consistent with the National 4-H Strategic plan to reach previously underserved audiences. Why 4-H Partners with the Military
