What is Cervical Auscultation?. The use of a stethoscope to listen for the normal/abnormal sounds of swallowing and respiration while ingesting foods/liquids. Can help to detect dysphagia (swallowing disorder), however, CA alone is not reliable and could possibly over detect aspiration.
