  4. What is a real job? • You get paid the same wage as everyone else doing that job • The job helps you to meet your life goals and aspirations • The job role is valued by managers and colleagues • The job has similar hours and times at work as other people with safe working conditions

  6. What learning helps people to get jobs? • Support to understand the types of jobs people can do and trying these out • Understanding about your benefits • Travelling independently • Understanding the rules at work • Training on the job from a Job Coach • Work-based learning

  8. Traineeships • A new training route for young people who are motivated by and focused on work but need more experience and skills to get a job • A focused period of work preparation training • A substantial, meaningful work placement • English and Maths if you don’t have a GCSE

  9. Apprenticeships • Apprenticeships combine practical training in a job with study • An apprentice works alongside experienced staff • An apprentice earns a wage • An apprentice studies towards a related qualificationat level 2, 3, 4 or 5
