There are lots of cool and weird facts that we would like to share with you. • If you to the middle of Australia there is a rock called Uluru. • Most people in Australia live near the beach. • The middle of Australia is called the outback. • Australia has two territories and six states. • The Australians call their big farms stations.
The map of Australia • Australia is the biggest island. • Sidney is the biggest city in Australia. • Australia's capital is Canberra.
The Australian flag • The flags official name is The Common Wealth Blue Ensign. • The symbol in the top left hand corner is the Great Britten flag. • The star under the Great Britten flag is called the Union jack.
The Aborigines • The Aborigines believe the earth was created during the Dreamtime. • They have lived in Australia for over 40,000 years. • The Aborigines pass along Dreamtime stories through art.
Sydney Opera House • The Sydney Opera House was established in 1973. • Every January, the Opera House has a celebration for the music that was practiced there. • The Opera House has a concert hall, drama theater, opera theater, an auditorium, and a cinema.
Rock Art • Rock art contains Mimi spirits and hand prints. • Rock art was usually done in caves. • Rock art is the oldest type of art in Australia.
Bark Art • Australians prepare bark art in the rainy season. • It takes mouths to prepare the bark for bark art. • Bark art is usually done in x-ray stile.
Dot Art • Bark art, dot art, and rock art all use the same colors witch are red, orange, white, black, and yellow. • Dot art usually tells dreamtime stories. • Dot art uses dots as seen in the picture.
Tasmanian devil • Tasmanian devils are found at the SE of the coast of Australia. • They are three to fore feet long and have almost all black fur. • They look like small bears.
