  2. Who We Are…. We at Eagle Nest Elementary welcome and celebrate diversity, while embracing and learning from others’ cultural differences. • Approximately 880 students • 36.1% Caucasian • 40.9% African American • 18.1% Hispanic • 4.9% Other Ethnicities • 58.6% Free and Reduced Lunch

  3. Reading Prize Patrol Brings literature to the homes of our families.

  4. Reading Prize Patrol Allows teachers a chance to visit our students neighborhoods.

  5. B.U.D.D.Y Building Up Destined and Determined Youth Great way of getting the community involved in the lives of our students. Spending quality time with students that need it!

  6. B.U.D.D.Y Building Up Destined and Determined Youth Mentors volunteer at least 30 minutes to an hour per week.

  7. Pedestrian Safety We added Pedestrian Crossing signs to slow cars down during drop off and pick up.

  8. Pedestrian Safety We painted crosswalks in heavy traffic areas.

  9. Pedestrian Safety We stopped drop off in the teacher parking lot so students wouldn’t walk through so much traffic.

  10. Pedestrian Safety An additional stop sign and police officer were added to the intersection from Taylor Plantation into the school, which transformed the intersection into a much safer three-way stop for pedestrian crossing and vehicle traffic
