This marketing research project, presented to Prof. A. K. Halder, explores strategies to boost circulation for The Statesman, an established Indian English-language daily. The project identifies key management decision problems (MDP) and marketing research problems (MRP), including readers' preferences for a newspaper, evaluation criteria, and perception of The Statesman versus competitors. Through a comprehensive approach involving hypothesis testing, Likert scales, and data analysis, we recommend improvements in language clarity and presentation style to align with reader expectations, addressing their concerns about the newspaper's "old-fashioned" image.
