  4. Assessing for Title I Participation • State Assessment • Local Assessment • Norm Reference • CTBS • Iowa Basic • Etc.

  5. Student Eligibility • Reside in public school boundary that receives Title I services. • Qualifies academically

  6. Use of Federal FundsTitle I • Non-secular • Support eligible students • Identified through multiple criteria • Failing or at risk of failing to meet state standards • or other standards relevant to private school children

  7. Title I • Support Title I teachers/tutors • Employed only by USD 500 • Professional Development for any teacher who has Title I students • Must be Highly Qualified • Outside contractor to provide services to students • Not connected to private school or any other religious organization • Supervised by USD 500

  8. Title I • Request for Purchase must be accompanied with support information • Person supported • Student supported

  9. Title II A • Non-secular • Support teachers to become Highly Qualified • Continuous Staff Development • i.e. Ruby Payne Training – followed by study group

  10. Title II A • RFP must be accompanied with support information

  11. Title II D • Non-secular • 25% spent on Technology Staff Development • Must have plan on file • RFP must show support • Staff Development plan must be in place for RFPs will be processed. Staff Development Plan Participating Staff

  13. Requests for Purchase • To be paid, order must be submitted by Federal Programs – DO NOT REQUEST YOUR ORDERS FROM VENDOR • All equipment and supplies MUST be sent to Federal Programs at the Education Center and will be marked PROPERTY OF USD 500 – FEDERAL PROGRAMS

  14. 2010-11 Enrollment • Turned in to Pat Adams by October 5 • Include all KCKPS resident students • Mark only poverty students • Free or Reduced Lunch OR • Parent survey OR • Tuition Assistance

  15. 2010-11 Attendance • Copies turned in to Pat Adams by October 9 • Include all KCKPS resident students • From first day of classes through October 6.

  16. Additional Forms • Authorization to Fill • Consultant • Contract • Information • W-9 • Time sheet
