  3. Community Service Volunteers • everyone should be able to take part in the life of their community

  4. Founded in 1962 • the UK’s largest volunteering and training organization. • 100,000 people get involved in 5,000 volunteering activities by the end of 2005.

  5. Chinese Young Volunteers Association 热心献社会 真情暖人心

  6. founded on December 5, 1994. • The biggest voluntary organization in China • The CYVA counts over eight million registered volunteers through out China

  7. Similarities • Purpose: help others, tackle society needs • Features: voluntary, rewardless, organized, commonweal Trainings: provide opportunities for volunteers to learn basic skills and work-based skills.
