  1. So is globalisation a good thing? Globalisation is in all kinds of business, not just clothing. TNCs are spreading everywhere. Is this is a good thing? This lesson we will look at the people who think it is.

  2. Globalisation is the spread of ideas, lifestyles and products around the world. For example, some of the things we buy are advertised all over the world. Have a look.

  3. What is the World Trade Organisation? The World Trade Organisation or WTO was formed to promote world trade. It is based in Geneva in Switzerland. Over 140 countries have joined it. The WTO aims to remove barriers between trade between countries, so that companies can trade freely everywhere. In the past, when countries fell out over trade they often went to war. The WTO aims to prevent this. For example, if Europe tries to stop a crop being imported from the USA, the WTO will try to settle the dispute peacefully. Any country that joins the WTO must sign an agreement to obey its trade rules.

  4. The internet is a good example of what globalisation means.
