REGION E CONFERENCE Future Planning Timelines
Planning Timeline – FY08 • Nov 1, 2007 – Put out call for hosting interest for FY09 region conference • Nov 2007 – Start discussion in the online region E forum to improvements to region conference format for FY09 and on. • Dec 15, 2007 – Sections interested in hosting contact Region E Lt. Gov. • Dec 16, 2007 – Lt. Gov solicits sections, if no section indicates interest. • Feb 1, 2008 – Send Lt. Gov. initial draft of proposal to review. • 30 days before Region Conference in Richmond (2/7/2008) send out final proposals to Region E secretary • At Richmond Conference discuss and vote on proposals (3/9/2008)
SWE Counselors • SWE Counselor is the link between the section and all levels of SWE • SWE Counselors are elected by the student membership, must be SWE members in good standing, and the position is part of the section executive council without voting rights. • Best way to find counselor is a recent graduate of the school that has upgraded their membership.
