  3. What is the Polycom PowerCam Presenter System? • An integrated Instructor/Presenter/Teacher tracking camera solution. Allows complete movement and freedom of teacher that utilizes smooth continuous tracking via new acoustic technology. Integrated with the VSX platform • Can be utilized with any videoconferencing system as stand-alone automated camera

Overview • Automatic camera tracking using ultrasonic technology • 50’ maximum distance (user to camera) • Locator – light weight, wireless ultrasound transmitter with removable belt clip & lanyard • User wearable • Battery run time 8 hours • Charges in 2 - 4 hours w/supplied charger (100/250V 50/60Hz) • Can not be used while being charged! • Camera (PowerCam Plus) that is included in “kit” has been modified with ultrasonic responsive microphones. A “standard” PowerCam Plus camera does not support this solution nor can it be modified to do so.

Features • Camera that automatically tracks to follow a person wearing the wireless Locator • Automatic, and can be used in manual mode • Automatic Zoom function • Ability for user to select framing options via Presenter remote; center, left, right, close-up and wide angle • Ability to store and recall four presenter views / presets • Can be used as a Main camera with VSX 8000/7000e • Can be connected to ANY videoconferencing system • Can be used as a stand-alone camera for other application like training presentations, video streaming, motion media etc., • Offered in both NTSC & PAL formats

How does it work – End-User operations • Basic local/traditional instruction (Composite or S-video output) • Basic Interactive Videoconferencing between schools • Advanced Interactive Videoconferencing between two or more schools • Press tracking icon button on RCU, camera immediately finds acoustic transmitter, usually clipped to teacher’s belt • Teacher begins to walk naturally without having to worry about manual camera control or using camera presets
