  6. 2008-09 EDExpress Release 4.0 • Direct Loan ECASLA Changes • Unsubsidized Annual Loan Limits increased for dependent and independent undergraduates • Loan limit edit disabled with DLL patch posted on 7/14/2008 for Release 3.0 • Loan limit edit #1055 removed in Release 4.0 and forward • Effective for loans first disbursed on or after 07/01/2008 • Packaging Module will continue to package at pre-ECASLA loan limits

  13. 2009-10 EDExpress Release 1.0 • App Express Module • New flag added for dependent students who submit application without parental data • Special Circumstance Flag of “1” (Dependent Student record submitted without parent data) • Record reject • No EFC • Special Circumstance Flag of “2” (Dependent student record previously submitted with Special Circumstance flag, but correction made to parental data).

  15. 2009-10 EDExpress Release 1.0 • App Express Module • Housing Plans question responses reordered to match the FAFSA (Q.104) • 1 = On Campus • 2 = With Parent • 3 = Off Campus (Default in Packaging) • High School Completion Status question updated response #4 from “Other” to “None of the Above” (Q.26) • Query updated to include an SSN Match Flag of “6”

  34. TEACH Grant Module • Release 3.0 posted June 30, 2008 • Allows for origination and disbursement of TEACH Grant Records • Records can be exported to COD for processing • Responses from COD can be imported • Anticipated Disbursements required • Maximum Award is $4000 per year

  35. TEACH Grant Module • Accepted ATS on file at COD required in order for COD to accept a TEACH Disbursement • No accepted ATS on file at COD will cause a disbursement to reject if it is sent too early • The ATS field is display only; it cannot be updated in EDExpress

TEACH Grant Module • Booking a TEACH Grant • Same as booking a Direct Loan • Three elements need to be accepted at COD in order to book a TEACH Grant • Accepted Origination Record • Accepted ATS • Accepted First Disbursement Record • The TEACH Grant Booked Date is the date that DLSS will use to calculate accrued interest if the Grant converts to a loan
