  2. NATURAL PHENOMENON A natural phenomenon is a non-artificial event in the physical sense, and therefore not produced by humans, although it may affect humans

HURRICANE OR TROPICAL CYCLONE The term "tropical" refers to both the geographic origin of the systems, which form in tropical regions of the globe, and their formation in maritime tropical air masses. The term "cyclone" refers to such storms' cyclonic nature, with counterclockwise rotation in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise rotation in the Southern Hemisphere.

HURRICANE KATRINA Hurricane Katrina began as a tropical storm in the Bahamas, after Katrina continued its course to the South Florida causing serious damage the hurricane caused severe destruction across theMississippi and Alabama coast, reaching more than one hundred miles from the center ofstorm. In the 2005 Atlantic season, Katrina was the eleventhtropical storm, fifth hurricane, third major hurricane and the second hurricaneCategory 5.

  5. TWISTER OR TORNADO There are several different scales to classify the strength of tornadoes. The scale are evaluated according to the damage caused. F0 tornado, the weakest category, cause damage to trees but not to structures. An F5 tornado, the strongest category, start building off its foundation and can produce significant structural deformities in skyscrapers.

  6. THUNDERSTORMS Thunderstorms are usually accompanied by strong winds, heavy rain and sometimes snow, sleet, hail, or no precipitation at all. Those which cause hail to fall are known as hailstorms. Thunderstorms may line up in a series or rain band, known as a squall line.

  7. LIGHTNING It is a powerful natural electrostatic discharge produced during a thunderstorm. The electrical discharge of lightning rash is accompanied by the emission of light, caused by the passage of electrical current ionizes the air molecules, and the sound of thunder, developed by the shock wave.

  8. VOLCANO The word volcano is derived from the name of Vulcano, a volcanic island in the Aeolian Islands of Italy whose name in turn originates from Vulcan, thename of a god of fire in Roman mythology.

  9. EARTHQUAKES Earthquakes can cause fires by damaging electrical or gas lines. In the event of water mains rupturing and a loss of pressure, it may also become difficult to stop the spread of a fire once it has started.
