  3. METAPHOR- a direct comparrison. • A metaphor does not use like or as.

  4. Simile - comparing using like or as. Examples: “ My tears run down like roller blades” – Its not over , secondhand serenade(0:11) “ Life’s like a novel with the end ripped out “ – Stand , Rascal Flatts(1:02)

  5. Alitteration- Repeats same sound at the beginning of word. Examples :
