FIMS RPAM (430.1C) Updates • Added Functionality Assessment Date • New Requirements • Annual Required Maintenance and Modernization Cost are now required • Asset % Utilized is now required for OSF’s • All of these data elements are required for buildings, trailers and OSF’s regardless of Ownership U.   4. FIMS RPAM (430.1C) Updates (cont’d) • AAIM Module has been expanded for all Ownerships and Types • New Ownerships • Contractor Owned • DOE License • Grant Recipient Owned • Non-Federal Permit U. S. Department of Energy | Facilities Information Management System

  5. Recent Key Enhancements • Document Tracking • Redefined FIMS Status Codes • Establish relationship between Status and Excess Indicator • New Data Anomaly Reports • Ad Hoc Report Sharing Capability • 31 Data Element Removals U. S. Department of Energy | Facilities Information Management System

  6. Software Releases • In FY17, there are 13 Change Requests • 7 Software Releases have been deployed in FY17 In FY16, there were 23 Change Requests 9 Software Releases were deployed in FY16 U. S. Department of Energy | Facilities Information Management System

Data Quality • Continued emphasis on real property data quality by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the General Services Administration (GSA) • DOE Emphasizes FIMS data quality through • Annual FIMS data validations • Year-end data analysis • FIMS anomaly checks U. S. Department of Energy | Facilities Information Management System

Data Quality (cont’d) • Federal Real Property Profile (FRPP) has implemented Validation & Verification (V&V) checks for each agency • Began with FY2016 FRPP submission • Approximately 1,500 FRPP data anomalies identified • DOE must affirm the data is correct or indicate data was in error and will be corrected in FY17 FRPP reporting • Deadline for all agencies to address FY16 anomalies is Oct 15, 2017 • Our Departmental target is June 2017 U. FIMS 3.0 Software refresh that will include an all new look and feel Revised screen layouts and menus Enhanced features, navigation and functionality Additional built-in filters to make extracting data easier Improved search capability Redesign of the FIMS informational website U. CAIS Cost Estimating Module • CAIS now has a cost estimating module used for estimating: • Maintenance & Repair • Replacement • Custom RPV Models • Estimates are based on RS Means data • Contains an easy to use interface with the RS Means data • Can be stored and are automatically updated annually • Capability exists to include multipliers and additional cost U.
