Join us for an exciting weekend at the Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center from February 18-20, 2011! Our agenda includes a variety of fun and educational activities such as visits to the Great Lakes Aquarium, wildlife management sessions, and outdoor adventures like frozen lake study and cross-country skiing. You will also enjoy team-building activities and evening campfires with s’mores. Don't forget to pack your winter gear! This trip is made possible through generous funding and promises to be an unforgettable experience.

Schedule of Events • Friday, February 18, 2011 • 6:00 am - Leave from Panther Doors • 11:00 am – Lunch in Duluth, MN • 12:00 pm – Great Lakes Aquarium – Duluth • 12:00-1:00 pm Behind the Scenes Tour • 1:00-2:00 pm Tour exhibits at aquarium
Schedule of Events • Friday, February 18, 2011 • 4:00 pm – Arrive at Wolf Ridge ELC • 5:00-6:00 pm – Dinner • 6:15-9:00 pm – Sky View Adventure Ropes • 6 events, separated by towers, 25 ft. off the ground • 9:00-10:00 pm – Campfire • Complete with S’mores!
Schedule of Events • Saturday, February 19, 2011 • 7:30 am - Breakfast • 8:30-11:30 am – Frozen Lake Study • 12:00 pm – Lunch • 1:15-4:15 pm – Wildlife Management • 5:00 pm – Dinner • 6:15-9:00 pm – Mystical Mountain Rock Climbing • Indoor climbing wall, 30 feet off the ground • 9:00-10:00 pm – Campfire • Banana Boats!

Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center “A nationally respected and accredited K-12 school and residential learning center. Our educational activities immerse participants in nature exploration, cultural history, outdoor skills, team-building, and personal growth.”
Packing List • Clothing • Snow gear – hat, mittens (several pairs), snow boots, snow pants, winter coat, long underwear, warm socks, etc. • Much of our time will be spent outdoors! • Personal Gear • Sleeping bag and pillow, towel and shower accessories, medications, toothbrush and paste, water bottle • Optional • Flashlight, camera, alarm clock, games, snacks, spending money • Not allowed at Wolf Ridge • Cellphones, iPods, electric appliances, gum, alcohol, drugs, non-recyclable items • ** Cell phones and iPods are fine for on the bus, but need to be kept away while at WRELC
Housing Facilities/Room Sign-Up • West Dorm • 2 rooms for females • Shared bathroom • 2 rooms for males • Shared bathroom • Large common room with fireplace • Game nights, homework (?), interpretive dance, etc.
Costs/Funding • Total cost of trip $65.00 • Deposit $50.00 • Amount left to be paid $15.00 • Due by Friday, February 4, 2011 • Funding has been provided by • Pine Island AAA Foundation ($750.00 - transportation) • People in Business Care ($1,000.00) • Pine Island PTSO ($540.00)
