Cooked History • Cooked History • Secondary Sources • An interpretation based on evidence… • Time allows for reflection… • E.g., a biography, memoir, work of historiography • Good historians follow professional standards • Citation of sources (primary and secondary) • Proper use of sources (present them accurately) • History influenced by: • The culture it was written in • The bias of the author • What evidence is available. • THUS INTERPRETATIONS CHANGE
