The New Deal: Transforming Labor Rights and Social Welfare in America

The Second New Deal, spearheaded by Mr. Chojnacki, brought notable changes in labor rights and social welfare. The Wagner Act (NLRA) empowered workers, establishing the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to ensure union recognition by employers, which intensified labor militancy and led to strikes. Additionally, the creation of Social Security provided a safety net through pensions, unemployment insurance, and aid for families in need. Initiatives like the Works Progress Administration (WPA) employed millions and led to the construction of vital public infrastructure, laying the foundation for modern economic security.
