Performance Paper

This presentation highlights the need for a comprehensive global performance paper for LHCb, one year after the last discussion on this topic. The focus is on detailing the Run 1 performance, including detector efficiency, tracking accuracy, and particle identification (PID). There is an emphasis on referencing the performance paper in future discussions. Despite some opposition and a lack of motivation, most results are already published in conference proceedings. The current draft is referenced in the agenda, aiming for a thorough review of Run 1 data, although the proposed timeline poses challenges.

  2. Performance paper • New drive to produce global performance paper. • Global LHCb performance (Detector, Tracking, PID). • > 1 year since this was last talked about • Focus shifted to describe all of Run 1. • Want to be able to reference ST performance paper. • Last discussion of ST paper in Nov. 2012! • Some opposition, not much motivation. • Most results already published in conference proceedings. • Current draft attached to agenda. • Should be a review of full Run 1. • Timescale? Not good. • Seems to be quite important to people outside the ST. ST Meeting, CERN
