caBIG Clinical Information Suite Chemotherapy and treatment plan management status
Overview • Status of Chemotherapy Management and Treatment Plan Management in the Project • Efforts to identify priorities with stakeholders • Discussion of priorities within these topics
Overall Status • Status of Chemotherapy Management and Treatment Plan Management in the Project • Chemotherapy Template Management is the most mature sub-topic; architects have published draft specifications based on the analysis artifacts validated by this domain expert group. Detailed data content still needs to be developed. • Chemotherapy Planning is the next most mature sub-topic, followed closely by Treatment Planning due to the shared content. These both still require a lot of domain expert validation. • Medication Administration has detailed narratives and use cases ready for review by the domain expert group; Treatment Plan Maintenance and Completion are also ready for discussion • Medication Order Set Management is almost ready for review
Overall Status (cont’d) • Status of Chemotherapy Management and Treatment Plan Management in the Project (cont’d) • Non-Medication Product Ordering and Chemotherapy Scheduling have very little content at this time. • The project team is working on looking across topics and existing NCI services for reuse and collaboration opportunities (nothing yet outside the project). • Analysts and Architects have been working together closely to put together a conceptual view of the services we think are needed to support Chemotherapy Management and Treatment Planning • Delivering “Chemotherapy Management” service(s) in the next three months has been identified as a goal for the project.
Overall Status (cont’d) • Efforts to identify priorities with stakeholders • Surveys sent NCCCPs, both those participating in the project and non-participants. • Format of feedback at the business capability level (i.e., Referral Management, Chemotherapy Management, etc.) • Chemotherapy Management and Treatment Planning are in the top three, along with Disease Response to Treatment • Feedback so far not at the level of granularity that can facilitate planning.
Overall Status (cont’d) • Discussion of priorities within these topics • Chemotherapy Management • Chemotherapy Template Management • Chemotherapy Planning • Medication Order Set Management • Medication Administration • Non-Medication Product Ordering • Chemotherapy Scheduling • Treatment Plan Management • Treatment Planning • Treatment Plan Maintenance • Treatment Plan Completion • What do you think the priorities should be?
