Recognizing Excellence: The Distinguished Dietitian Award Program

The Distinguished Dietitian award program at Sodexo USA celebrates outstanding dietitians who excel in innovation, financial contributions, and process improvement. This presentation aims to inform Area 326 managers about the award's eligibility, application requirements, and deadlines while encouraging deserving professionals to apply.   2. The purpose of this presentation is to • Inform Area 326 managers of the “Distinguished Dietitian” award and recognition program • Define eligibility, requirements and deadlines • Encourage deserving dietitians to apply!

  3. Who is the next “Distinguished Dietitian”? He/she is the foremost dietitian in the district who excels client expectations in one of the following areas: • Innovation • Financial contributions • Process improvement

  4. How is the winner selected? • A panel of five randomly selected area dietitians will review applications and vote to select the winner on August 31st • Eligible applicants must: • Exhibit behavior that exemplifies Sodexo’s Mission and Values, CARES behaviors and The Patient Experience while also producing positive outcomes for his/her respective client • Submit a completed “Distinguished Dietitian” proposal form to ASM by July 31, 2011

  5. What is awarded to the “Distinguished Dietitian”? • The opportunity to showcase his/her achievement at the annual district meeting • $1,000 stipend towards research, continuing education, or project development of his/her choice

  6. When is the deadline to apply and where can I find more information? • Applications are accepted after January 1, 2011 • Tawnya Hutchison, ASM is the primary contact for the award: Tawnya.Hutchison@sodexo.com • Proposal form and “Distinguished Dietitian” FAQ sheet are available by request from the ASM

  7. As a dietitian, where do I begin? The road to success as the next “Distinguished Dietitian” Identify your goal, project or task Obtain CNM, GM approval Submit application by July 31, 2011 Obtain ASM approval, panel reviews WIN if selected August 31, 2011

  8. Summary: • The “Distinguished Dietitian” award is exclusive to dietitians. • Approval is contingent upon CNM, GM support, as well as timely proposal form submission. • All Area 326 dietitians are encouraged to begin preparing applications TODAY! Submissions will be accepted after 01/01/11
