  6. Key outcome evaluation results • Parents recognise key messages • Positively influenced attitudes and behaviours • Already demonstrating protective behaviours • Reinforced existing behaviour

  7. What did we learn about research/practice interface ? • Not a simple linear process • Even if all steps in place things can go wrong • Importance of having adequate lead in time • Involve all the right people from the start • Researchers able to translate findings simply

  8. Recommendations • Managing transition from theory to practice • Clear /simplified summary research findings • Integrated theory/practice leadership • Effective communication • Involve both research and practice leaders
