Overall Goals Goals: • Get insight in CBSE • Basic principles • Trends in research and practice • Better understanding of particular topic within CBSE • Training in summarizing and presentation of research material • Training in discussions, reviewing • Training in doing additional research for a specified topics CBSE graduate course

  3. Assignment 1 • Per topic (a part or set of chapters) • Write a report that summarizes the topic • Explore the reference material • 3000 words ± 10% • Write 5 questions/exercises for the selected topics • Presentation material – ca 20 slides • Presentation 20-25 minutes, 5-10 minutes questions • Review 2 or 3 reports from other students • 1 student or 2 students work together CBSE graduate course

  4. Assignment 1 (Cont.) • Discussion Questions • Write 5 discussion questions • Give indications for answer (1/2 to 1 page) • Alternatively give examples where the topics discussed in the chapter can be used CBSE graduate course

  5. Assignment 2 – extension report • Write a discussion paper (4000 words) that uses a particular topic in CSBE • This paper shall investigate related works and also future/open issues with the presented in the chapter • It can be a state-of-the-art • It can be a research paper • Present a paper • 30 minutes presentation (20-25 min presentation, 5-10 minutes discussions). • Result – A technical report CBSE graduate course
