  3. LIFE STYLE OF PEOPLE IN DESERT AREAS • People in deserts are NOMADS HUNTERS. • They graze their life stock for a couple of weeks and then move to the another place.

  4. THEIR FOOD IN DESERT • Lizards are the common reptile food item. • Desert nomads depend on plants for food and hunt animals.

  5. CLOTHES IN DESERTS • To protect the body from heat of the desert people wear light and loose fitting clothes. • They also tie a turban on the head and cover the lower part of the face from sand storms and breeze.

  6. SOCIAL CUSTOMS • Most people live in RURAL AREAS and are dependent on agriculture. • The herding of SHEEP, LLAMA, and APACAS place at elevated lands. • RELIGIOUSFESTIVALS, WEEDINGS, and other occasions are COMMUNAL with entire village.

  7. VEGETATION IN DESERTS • Cactus is commonly found thorny plant in deserts and these plants store water in their LEAVES, ROOTS, and STEMS.The leaves are SPINY and FLESHY .Other varies are PRICKLY PEARS and BRITTLE BUSH.

  8. CLIMATE IN DESERT LADAKH DESERT THAR DESERT • The climate is hot in THAR DESERT during daytime and chilly or even cold at night.In some deserts there is extreme heat dryness the amount of evaporation is greater than the rainfall. They are LADAKH.
