Integrating SRHR into MDG Discourse: Strategies and Experiences from Sensoa and Development NGOs

The workshop facilitated by IEPFPD and EuroNGOs focuses on effective strategies for integrating Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) into discussions surrounding the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Key experiences from Sensoa highlight collaboration with the Parliamentary Group on Population and Development and significant contributions to advocacy efforts among development NGOs. The session will cover mechanisms for engaging stakeholders, lessons learned from past initiatives, and strategies to address counterarguments relating to prioritization within MDG frameworks.

  9. Some questions How to counter arguments like: “It is a priority to us. We already fund this project…”. Or: “All the MDGs are important. We cannot prioritise all of them”. How to reach the highest level of decision making?
