  2. overview The main goal is to describe how to build or how to order the opensensor and as a discussion board dealing with the opensensor. Currently the opensensor board has version number 3.0. We offer here the full documentation for the hardware design of the opensensor. Also we offer to ship the opensensor or parts of it.  Furthermore completed software projects on the opensensor are described and the software is available too.

  3. opensensor material • Part 0: This slide set • Part 1: opensensor motivation • Part 2: Examples of the opensensor • Part 3: Programming environment • Part 4: opensensor details • Part 5: Building the opensensor • Part 6: Installing software on the opensensor • Part 7: Mobile phones and opensenor

  4. opensensor material – part 0 • Part 0 is intended to lay out the core information structure. Different parts can be used to carry out a full lecture or enrich a lecture with the slides.

  5. opensensor material – part 1 • Part 1 is introducing the opensensor with its capabilities and its intention.

  6. opensensor material – part 2 • Part 2 shows the opensensor by example. Mainly by student projects carried out at Aalborg University or Technical University of Berlin.

  7. opensensor material – part 3 • Part 3 introduces the means to develop own projects and programs for the opensensor. The developer kit and the programming language is introduced.

  8. opensensor material – part 4 • Part 4 offers detailed insights of the opensensor to understand all nibbles and bits in it.

  9. opensensor material – part 5 • Part 5 explains how to build the opensensor from the scratch. It is a simple step by step explanation that can be carried out with basic tools.

  10. opensensor material – part 6 • Part 6 will show different possibilities how to bring the software from the developer device (e.g. the PC) to the opensensor.

  11. opensensor material – part 7 • Part 7 is mainly focusing on the possibility to communicate between the opensensor and Bluetooth enabled devices such a mobile device.

  12. opensensor exercises • E1: Program environment and blinking lights • E2: Communication over RS232, nRF905, range test, and external sonsoric • E3: Combining nRFand Bluetooth on the opensensor and communicate with mobile phones
