In the beautiful region of Žďár nad Sázavou, Boček of Obřany, a nobleman known for his love of hunting and family, discovered a spring with refreshing water. After sipping from it, he fell asleep and dreamt of the Virgin Mary, who instructed him to dig a well where the spring flowed. Following her guidance, Boček dug a 32-meter deep well in 1252, which was believed to have healing properties. He and his sons-in-law later established a monastery called Fons Beatae Mariae Virginis, or the Well of Blissful Virgin Mary.
