  2. Background • Rotary has… • Clubs located in 200 countries • Over 30,000 clubs • 1.2 million members world wide • Local, national, and international service projects that are funded through fundraising and Rotary grants Mission: Promote goodwill, service, world understanding, and peace

Background • Interact was established in 1962 • There are more than 11,400 clubs in over 125 countries • An estimate of 250,000 youth members worldwide • International + Action = Interact • At least 2 projects per year, including an international project • Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 12 to 18.
