  3. Differences in 2015 By the year 2015 Grainger Art Room will be conducted online by asynchronous distance learning otherwise known as; open learning cyber education virtual classrooms

  4. Differences in 2015 My job as visual arts education specialist will be to; facilitate student learning curriculum motivate students in creative thinking and problem solving mentor their development as young artists

  5. Rational Rationale for why I believe not only art education at Grainger High School but education as a whole is headed in the direction of asynchronous distance learning can be cited in 6 references.

Although I envision our Art Room becoming a virtual classroom for distance learning I know we will have to overcome 5 challenges; Challenges Isolation Keeping on Track Motivation Feedback and Positive Criticism Reflection and Review Distance Learning Challenges: How to Overcome the Difficulties of Self-Study

  8. As I think and plan for the future of our Art Room I also envision 5 opportunities to our distance learning program; Opportunities Expands educational access Cost reduction Lifelong learning opportunities Integration of new technology Availability of grant funding

There are 5 priorities I propose to shape and prepare the future of our Art Room for distance learning; Preparing for the Future Enrich academic quality of teachers Expand access and participation of students Enhancing broadband internet and technology availability to teachers and students Establishing a user friendly interactive online learning environment such as Moodle Making available grants and other resources for art materials and equipment

  11. My online distance learning education is just beginning here at Post University. It has enlightened me to a new global world that I was not aware of. I have learned a vocabulary of technology which has given me a new exciting lease on lifelong learning. It has inspired me beyond my imagination to engage my young art students in new forms of creative thinking and achieving outcomes. I will continue my learning experiences about life, art and the virtual world wish I were younger so I could spend more time developing along with it. I personally plan to continue learning about virtual teaching techniques and hope to either teach with an online high school, college and/or turn my Art Basics Course into an online learning portal.Sherri HudsonVisual arts educational specialist as long as I am physically and mentally able and share my knowledge with anyone who is willing to listen. I plan on being part of the art world that brings visual art education to every student no matter their age or location and would like to see visual art education recognized as a valuable part of every students learning.
